The Dark Chasen is a bamboo matcha whisk with a dark handle and the celina's logo. Use it to whisk your matcha until creamy, just like in our café.
With a chasen, matcha dissolves without lumps and gets a creamy foam. The whisk is cut from a single piece of bamboo and has many fine tines. A regular whisk or spoon doesn’t do this as well.
Soak the tines briefly in warm water first so they soften and don’t break. Then whisk the matcha loosely from the wrist in W-shaped movements without pressing on the bottom of the bowl. After about 20 seconds a fine foam forms.
Rinse the whisk with warm water only after use, without detergent. Let it air-dry, ideally with the tines facing down. Don’t put it in the dishwasher or store it wet in a closed cupboard.
Besides the chasen you need matcha, a bowl and warm water at about 75 °C. A fine sieve helps against lumps. We also offer matcha and whisk together as a set.

War gestern wieder seit langer Zeit wieder da, hab einen Strawberry-Iced-Matcha bestellt und es hat super geschmeckt. Auch die cookies sind top. Zum ersten mal ein cookie gegessen was auch warm war, in eine lm Lokal. Top top top! You’re doing such a great job! 👏

We visited Celina’s Matcha in Vienna and absolutely loved it! The place has such a calm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing with a drink. The matcha was amazing — smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the best spots in Vienna for matcha lovers! 💚
